The atmosphere was lively and trendy, and the service was outstanding! This restaurant is seeking to be sustainable, with their own herb garden, house cured meats, and locally sourced food items. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the eclectic menu. Everything we tried was absolutely wonderful! Our table shared their charcuterie board, with local cheeses, house cured meats, and homemade jams and mustard. My mouth is watering just thinking about how fantastic it was!

Great food, friendly and cozy atmosphere.

I loved the atmosphere and energy at this new restaurant. While large, dining and drinking areas are nicely arranged so that it feels intimate. There is a greenhouse inside, and a wall of herbs outside. A look at the building is worth the trip. The drink list is creative, but drinks are pricey for the size. The menu has small plate options to share. We enjoyed everything we sampled, especially the meat and cheese board. The service was good. I would give it 5 stars if it was a better value. We will definitely return to try their beer, but probably won't return for a dinner.

Absolutely incredible as always. Even during a pandemic! The staff was amazing, food and drinks were just as good as they’ve always been. So glad we got to spend our first night out since we were quarantined here.

Outstanding food, service in a unique setting. Each time we have been here the servers have been extremely friendly. The food is good to great. The drinks are a cut above. Very appealing place to go for a special occasion.

Highly recommend eating here and ordering everyone!!!Good whiskey, cocktails, ok beers,Teriyaki bacon was good,Charcuterie board also good,Green house salad,Caesar salad was ok,Smoked pork was fantastic! And get extra peach jam. 🤓👍

Love em! Overflowing booze list, plus good craft beer and wine selections. Good quality ingredients put together to yummy dishes. When we have had an issue, staff and management were great about making things right. Go and enjoy!

Social distancing maintained. Servers wore masks. Servers were attentive. Wine bottles of water on table were replenished several times. Attractive decor, lots of love plants. Nice!

Always amazes me how they can turn any meal into a memory, even in the midst of a quarantine. They are friendly, courteous, and above all their food and beer sets a new bar for quality. Pun intended.

Visited this most amazing place on a road trip. There aren't any words to give this place and it's staff the review it deserves. The location itself was breathtaking, the staff was very informative and could without pause give you recommendations on food. Just..... incredible

My husband and I went back to Hardware to celebrate a special event. It was amazing again, this time I took some photos. Sophisticated high quality food, love the descriptions on the menu as well. I noticed that this restaurant is appealing to both younger and not so young people. The only rule is to enjoy and have a great time and always be open to taste new unexpected flavors that will fill the night with magic. I had the pheasant and the bone marrow dish, mmm..delicious!

Hardware's food and service was excellent! They accommodated our party right away and the table service itself was constant and friendly. Will definitely come again!

Great experience for outdoor dining during illinois stage 3! Enjoyed our 1st night out in a long time. Service was great, food was extremely fresh and tasty. Cool experience. Beer flights were fun as well

A friend and I went to Hardware last night for dinner. We got there reasonably early, about 5:30 pm. We were seated right away, next to a wall with windows looking into their greenhouse where they grow their own greens for the dishes on their menu. Our server was very helpful and friendly. My friend needs to eat a gluten free diet and we were very happy to see the incredible gluten free offerings this place has. We tried the Pork Brisket Tacos to start with then decided on the Quinoa Salad and Vegan Risotto. Everything was amazing. We ended up ordering dessert, which for us was the flan. Also incredible.We plan on coming back here again to try more of their offerings. The atmosphere and food were the best I've experienced in a while. This place is good for dates, friends, groups, everything.

I can’t wait to return to this wonderful restaurant next time I’m in town!

It was amazing! The service was beyond great ! Whatever questions you have about the food or the place you will get the answers.The food, beer and whiskey... Words will not describe it- you have to try it! We are looking forward to visiting in summer.

From the moment you enter this restaurant the waiters give you an enjoyable feeling. Very friendly waiters, it is a good restaurant to enjoy with friends or with your date. delightful cooking, experienced chef, good cost and excellent service. Warmly recommended.

Did take out as reserving a table at short notice was hard. The food was excellent as usual. Love the concept behind the restaurant.

Do not patronize this restaurant. Management is the rudest I have experienced in over 50 years of going to restaurants. You can’t treat people this way after we had made a reservation two days before. There are much better options in the area. Stay away

Loved this place. Awesome gastropub with amazing food, their own brews, home-grown hops in their hop trellis farm, and amazing greens from their in-house greenhouse. Definitely going back to try different menu items, but the burger and the raspberry vinaigrette house salad were awesome! (and I usually HATE vinaigrettes!)

We arrived at this restaurant for dinner. my friend recommended this spot. Well, we were not disappointed. we were warmly welcomed by the staff members and we felt very good. The meal was fresh and delicious. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Recommended.

Excellent restaurant. Our server Sarah was very knowledgeable and made our first experience a smooth one. The drinks were perfect and food came out before we had a chance to blink. My Wife loved her Valentine's surprise and so did I. Thank you again . See you soon.

I have been here twice. Solid food, great atmosphere, on the pricey side for where it is located. FYI: They have a nice patio but they do not allow dogs.

Excellent food, drink and service

I give 5 starts for the cheese and meat board as it was absolutely phenomenal. But for the "fish and chips," I hesitantly give 2 stars. The dish contains 3, rather small, pieces of fish that lack any flavor and a measly few potato wedges underneath. This was my first time at Hardware, I would definitly come back but I do not recommend the fish and chips. If ordering the fish and chips, do not expect a normal fish and chips.

Amazing local restaurant. Always did want to come and explore their menu and today was the perfect to do that. Super ecofriendly. Dishes were perfect served. Jackson awesome waitress. House salad super delicious in every single way. I did try the ravioli dish for those Italian tasters and yum yum nail it to my taste 😉 don’t wait to visit you’ll love it 😊

Loved this restaurant! I would have given it 5 stars... because the food was outstanding, our server was great... but the guy seating people and cleaning tables was not wearing a mask. I won't go back there because one person put my group at risk. I'd be willing to change my rating if I saw a change in their protection and following the law.

Incredible. The flavors we tried that bbgb put together were amazing. There were 4 of us and we did the small plates. The baked goat cheese was amazing. Who would have thought to put bacon and watermelon together, but it worked. Will definitely be back.

What an amazing meal. The dishes are not you run of the mill restaurant faire. The food is super fresh, all locally sourced or grown on-site. The staff was all super helpful and pleasant to deal with. It's an hour from where we live but well worth the trip.

This place was amazing! The patio is absolutely gorgeous and had nice shaded areas to beat the afternoon heat. The beer was amazing, and so was the food! All of the staff were friendly and also very educated about the place and what they are doing!

Just moved back from California and missed the fresh food and great microbrews more than anything. Until now. This place is an amazing find. Relaxed atmosphere. Substantial array of beers brewed on sight. Strong supporting cast of local craft brews. Largest whiskey selection I've ever seen. Fresh greens grown in their on-site greenhouse. Great service from a very friendly bartender. Just wow.

Love this place. It's a bit out of the way, but it's a true gem. From the interior décor to the outdoor dining patio to the greenhouse, loved all of the details. We were there for an intimate summer dinner on the outdoor patio and had a wonderful experience. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the history of the place and helped guide us through the innovative cocktail menu and dinner menu. We will definitely go back many times and bring our friends!

This place is managed by incompetence. I have never been treated with more disrespect and disregard for people with special needs in my life. With a progressive facade, their true nature of discrimination and degradation shines bright.

I visit this spot a lot since I work close by. I like how the customer service is always fantastic and they keep the spot clean regularly. Pricing is reasonable and they serve generous portions.

Good stuff. The atmosphere was nice, lots of greenery. I like the charred wood walls. The drinks were memorable. The food was about a B/B+. Disclaimer: the Wagyu Beef didn’t seem like authentic Wagyu Beef to me. I’ve had Wagyu beef before in Tokyo, but this seemed a bit different.COVID Score: definitely should space out the table more. We sat close to another loud and annoy group that was in the middle of the room. They should have left the indoor space more open. Outside was good. Could use a bit more shade.

Disrespectful and incompetent management - we called ahead and made a reservation more than 24 hours and specifically requested an outdoor shaded seat. When we arrived, we were told no shaded seats would be available for an hour + after our reservation, yet tables were clearly available and people without reservations were seated at these seats. After asking multiple times to move to the available shaded seats, management suggested we leave the restaurant...unbelievable!

Lisa provided stellar service, and the food was excellent food. Get something to drink also, you won't regret it.

This place is AMAZING!!!!! Great food/drink/beer menu. And really great staff to serve it!!!!
